My Approach

The most common dynamic I see when working with kids with language delay or communication disorders: their parents do all the communicating. The kid just needs to look a certain way and mom changes the channel or dad gets the juice. No words or gestures are exchanged at all.

 

So when the time comes for your child to interact with anyone--a cousin, a teacher, sometimes even just dad--communication can't happen. Neither person can understand the other.

No one understands your child like you do. It's a beautiful sentiment until it's a problem.

We want your child to say whatever they want to whomever they want whenever they want, just like you do. So we help you teach your child to communicate so that they can do it effectively and efficiently with you, and without you.

How?

Our sessions are with caregiver, child and therapist. We work with both you and your child.

 

We train you on the strategies and interventions we use so you can practice between sessions. Your child makes better progress and you gain skills and confidence that will serve you (both) for life.
